Who is "The Baby in Black" John and Paul were singing about?
Sorry john dont agree! Im sure there was his version on a lost lennon lp i once owed!
std?!
or dip their tools in alcohol after !
eric took friend's wife no moral !
Not a fan of this song at all. George was brilliant. But this one is not my cup of tea. All things must pass and Something were incredible.
It IS an masterpiece. 🇬🇧❤️🎹🎵🎸🎤🔉🎼👍✔️
What is this love for Paul and hatred of John? Is it jealousy because John is more famous and his songs more creative?
Paul when he's awake: 🎶🎵🎵🎻😊 Paul when he's sleeping: 🌸❇️🏵️💠🫠🫠🎵🎶🎵🎶🌸🏵️💠
All You Need Is Cash is a good name for a parody of the Beatles. It is interesting to think what could have happened to the Beatles if they hadn’t met the likes of George Martin and Brian Epstein. If they hadn’t met the right people at the right time they could have been just another four men on the Liverpool dole queue.
Has ANYBODY here read Clapton's autobiography before posting without a clue?
The truth...boring song. DIdn't influence anyone. Rock would have been the same if Here There and Everywhere had never been made. No influence.
I still tap the table to this day😅
He looks fine he was never “fat”
FUN FACT: the line in Lost in the Supermarket - "Guaranteed Personality...". The Clash had been touring America in the late 70's and were obviously watching a lot of U.S. television. "Guaranteed Personality" was a very well known supermarket commercial jingle here in Southern California back then. The tag at the end of the commercial went something like "Come and shop at our store where we guarantee..." The lady would smile big and the clip would end. And so.... "I came in here for my special offer..." 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎸🎸😎😎. And I can still see that commercial 50 years on after all this time. F'N BRILLIANT!! -for the record: London Calling is my generation's Exile on Mainstreet!!
Oh that makes me love that song even more! One of my favorite songs and one I related to so much as a teenager. Thank you for sharing.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ set alarm this is Martin from Tucson Arizona I grew up with the Beatles especially with George Harrison I love his music
I missed it: what did it have to do with Marianne?
And I Love Her is more beautiful.
That’s because Paul - beneath it all - is a Narcissist. ANY attention away from his cutesy image was a disastrous blow to his ego. Those close to him at the time even said so.
I read that my favorite Beatles tune “Here, There And Everywhere” was about his then girlfriend Jane Asher sister of Peter Asher of Peter & Gordon
Each band member was in charge of each song they largely wrote. It’s more likely that the perfectionist Paul would pay attention to every little detail. John was less patient and was in the position to insist on an equal amount of time and trouble
Love the Beatles but the Kenny Lynch cover is better.
ヒア・ゼア・アンド・エブリホエアは好きっつ❕️。
俺はっ、・・この、・・・イエロー・サブマリン余り、好きじゃ無い。
If you want to get technical. Slowing it down to make that dreamy effect is an effect
I think it's a tribute, as much as a parody. They were obviously great admirers of the Beatles music.
legend
Greatest song ever. Never get tired of it.
I'm sure McCartney's change of attitude over time had nothing to do with the fact that the Rutles movie essentially acted as free promotion for the Beatles' records.
Hard to believe there are many fans of The Beatles who never heard of this.
George was banging Ringo's wife. Patty had a reason to leave.
Wallasey is lovely
"I've just been to see some young boys in a dark cellar"
Lennon said it was one of McCartneys great songs
Film, not video tape
One of my all time favorite song
And then Paul got busted at the airports for pot possession.
The Beatles most beautiful ballad is Julia and it ain’t even close.
George was as good as John n Paul got no respect
The commentary sounds like it was written by a twelve year old.
This is my favorite Beatle song. 💖
This one needs time and patience to listen to. It doesn't fit into general radio or tv formats. It's one of the songs you'd play on your record player at home if you had the record and you'd _prepare_ to listen like you'd prepare for drinking a good wine: with care and attention to detail. So, this song was indeed not made to be played for the general public. It doesn't change the fact that it is one of the songs most cherished by Beatles enthusiasts.
If "the Beatles' most beautiful ballad" was anything else I would have cried foul. This song is a masterpiece.
The way Americans say Eleanor is forever disgusting
This isn't true George actually traded him for a les paul
Eric Idle is a member of Monty Python. And Neill Innes was the group's songwriter. At least George Harrison was a huge fan of them. Such a big one, that when they wanted to produce Life of Brian and ran out of their budget, Harrison had sponsored them to finish production. He even established a new company - handmade films- for any of them pythons could having them sponsored by them, if they were planning a new movie. Unfortunately I don't know much about the other ones...BUT...the Pythons had used the Beatles' movies as an example for theirs. And even the nonsensical humour matched with each other. Sooo... I believe that if I would claim that both groups respected and loved to watch each other, it would not be a false statement. Ey?
Were there condoms already back in 1966??
There were, indeed.
Marianne Faithful was the girl of the moment back then.
Then Yoko injected heroin into John.
I have to agree - what a gorgeous song! I remember when it came out and the feeling it gave me. I still get that feeling when I hear it 60 years later.
Beatles are not musicians!? For professional musicians!? They are just jumping around in their suits??
I love beach boys?? Always liked them??!
